"Great googly-moogly! Temple of Bon Matin in full reptilian-jazz-l.s.d.-brain-seizure mode! Judging by the photo we look like we had been out in the sun too long, and sounded like it too! A super fun hot August night hanging out with Mary Knott, doing double-duty with our band "the Dirt" as one of the opening acts. Great Chinese food from the sketchy joint across the street that I'm pretty sure was also a front for selling drugs, and I remember the late night drive home in my trusty ol' '68 Plymouth Fury, with a stop at the Waffle House along the way, and getting Mary home at the crack of dawn, still chatting away a million miles an hour....
