"My final gig with Temple of Bon Matin.... Woke up after a good nights sleep, and got on the road heading to the "Left of Lexington Festival", where we were on the all-day-and-night bill with Leslie Keffer, Taiwan Death, the Hair Police, Sword Heaven, 16 Bitch Pile-Up, Burning Star Core, and Irene Moon among others. I made good time, but I was hungry and got lost looking for a hot vegan meal before the show. I made it to the gig 15 minutes before our 5:15 time slot, hungrier than ever, and chowed down on some spaghetti they had cooked up backstage for the musicians playing that day before rushing out onstage to set up and play. During the set Leslie was stomping about the stage, jumping in front of Bridget Venuti whenever she tried to take pictures of me, and at the end of the set she ran over screaming at me to "turn it off! turn it off!", then ripped the cable out of my amp, breaking off the jack inside. I turned to Ed and said "sorry man, I'm outta here", and packed up my gear, said my good-byes to all my friends, and drove non-stop back to Baltimore, vowing never to play in somebody else's band again. In May I started on my extended "Summer Vacation" solo tour, and at the end of the year formed Fuzz Unlimited." - Mike Bell 10/11/2020
